Job Description:

Manufacturing Process Engineer II (HM Electronics, Inc., Carlsbad, CA). Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Process Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering Technology or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of Manufacturing and/or Program Management experience. Also required is 2 years of experience: identifying cost reduction opportunities in manufacturing processes and/or materials used in company products; performing and leading Continuous Improvement Projects for efficiency, product quality, and cost purposes using the Lean Manufacturing methodologies, including Root cause analysis, PDCA Cycle, 8Ds, Kaizens, A3, Fishbone diagram, Process Management, SOP creation and implementation; implementing and validating new products, including with regard to dates and deliverables for manufacturing, PFMEAs, KPIs, DFx, Training and Manufacturing Ramp metrics, and Work instructions; using standard MFG use software, including MES, AutoCAD, Excel, and/or Word; using Ax and/or SAP software to review and update Cost Routes and BOMs; applying MFG Process knowledge to both perform audits on current products in production and to examine cost reduction and/or efficiency improvements.
