What you will be doing
Albertsons seeks to modernize our brand and transform the way in
which Marketing impacts and drives growth for the organization. We
have world class national marketing capabilities and scale, that we
need to leverage to increase customer and brand-led strategy,
marketing effectiveness and efficiency.The Marketing Department has
an opening for a Brand Marketing Manager supporting the Brand
This role will help manage nationally led marketing and brand
strategy projects and campaigns for the Marketing organization. The
right person will have a strategic mindset and be nimble to move
quickly, juggle various competing priorities and navigate a complex
organization with many stakeholders and collaborators.
The position will be based in Pleasanton, CA; Boise, Idaho; or one
of our main regional offices (Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, Pleasanton
CA, Denver CO, Dallas TX, Chicago, IL, or Fullerton, CA, Phoenix,
Manage the execution of our newly developed Brand Platform helping
to implement all aspects of a large scale omni-channel marketing
campaign that will be developed nationally with local adaptions.
This will include facilitating various work streams with w/ our
agency partners, internal creative team, regional marketing and
enterprise marketing teams.
Support the implementation and ongoing governance of our newly
established Brand Guidelines, ensuring that our brand guides web
site is updated, all parties have access to correct brand
standards, and that creative across all channels and divisions is
on-brand and meeting objectives.
Partner with Division marketing teams, internal creative and agency
partners to complete and manage the development of Banner Style
Guides for local uses and maintain and adapt as needed
Ongoing collaboration with cross-functional teams on overarching
brand experience: ShopX, D cor, etc.
Provide name and branding recommendations for internal and external
facing initiatives that require brand architecture and portfolio
strategy direction and guidance.
Develop communication strategy, communication architecture and
messaging frameworks and provide ongoing content guidance for
various marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Conduct, evaluate and synthesize competitive research, market
intelligence, trends, and industry best practices to help prepare
recommendations for various branding, naming, and marketing
Write and share omni-channel briefs for new marketing initiatives
with partner agencies and cross functional internal teams.
Manage all projects to ensure they meet objectives and are
delivered on time and within budget keeping all key stakeholders
and project team members on track and informed of project strategic
priorities and goals along the way.
Facilitate cross functional meetings on projects they are leading,
guiding the team on critical thinking, action items and next
Participate in channel strategy and creative content development on
a variety of marketing projects and campaigns.
Be a team player willing to jump in and help where needed. A small,
growing team, in a large matrixed organization, there will be many
opportunities to jump in and help where needed
What we are searching for
Bachelor s Degree required; MBA preferred
Min. 6 years experience in brand marketing planning and brand
management, preferably within internal brand marketing
organizations or creative brand agencies or consultancies.
Proven experience managing complex omni-channel marketing campaigns
at a national scale.
Familiarity with the nuances of regional marketing a plus.
Excellent and organized project manager who can juggle competing
priorities and various stakeholders, keeping everyone informed and
the project moving forward to achieve results. Ability to manage
large scale multi-faceted projects at once.
Excellent presentation building skills, well versed in taking
complex information and translating in into digestible material for
broad organizational use.
Collaborative, open mind willing to partner up, down and across
teams to build relationships and realize goals in a complex
Highly organized and deadline driven able to juggle various
projects with competing priorities at once.
Agile problem solver able to pivot quickly and adjust to changing
project needs or new information.
