None Weekend Requirement: None Position Overview: We are currently
seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to
join the surgical services team at a Magnet-recognized acute care
hospital in Mission Hills, California. This role is ideal for a
dependable OR nurse with at least one year of perioperative
experience in a variety of surgical specialties. The facility is
equipped with advanced surgical technology and values safe,
high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities: -
Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical
procedures in the operating room - Support a wide range of surgical
cases including: - General Surgery: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy,
Colon Resection, Hernia Repair, Thyroidectomy - Gynecology:
Hysterectomy (abdominal/vaginal), Tubal Ligation, D&C,
Anterior/Posterior Repairs - Orthopedics: Arthroscopy, Open/Closed
Fracture Reductions, Total Joint Replacements - Urology:
Cystoscopy, Prostatectomy, TURP - Follow hospital infection control
protocols and maintain sterile field standards - Handle and label
surgical specimens appropriately - Ensure patient safety by
adhering to Universal Protocols including Time Out procedures -
Operate specialized equipment such as Cell Saver, and maintain
safety standards related to radiation, laser, and blood product
administration Required Qualifications: - Minimum Experience: 1
year of recent Operating Room RN experience - Licensure: Active
California RN license (pending licenses not accepted) -
Certifications Required: - BLS (Basic Life Support) – American
Heart Association - Charting System: Experience with Epic preferred
