Area Manager - Facilities - Supply Chain - Riverside, CAJob DescriptionThe Area Facilities Manager provides leadership and direction to a team of technicians and managers in delivering Material Handling, Industrial Automation, and Base Building services in a 24/7 logistics environment. Responsible for setting KPIs/metrics to ensure team success, reporting to the Facilities Manager, and managing Controls Systems Specialists and MHE Technicians on shift.Responsibilities

  • Promote a safety-first culture through training and best practices.
  • Manage vendor and supplier performance.
  • Lead and manage a shift to achieve 100% equipment uptime.
  • Develop solutions for complex problems and manage escalations.
  • Handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and develop plans.
  • Ensure safety programs and procedures are followed.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance programs and build relationships with operations leaders.
  • Develop business plans and oversee their implementation.
  • Uphold contractual agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Coordinate with site occupants and property management to meet needs.
  • Assist in developing and managing operating budgets.
  • Implement SOPs and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Proactively adapt to business changes and challenges.
  • Build a high-performing, engaged, and innovative team.
  • Manage facility performance through contracted services.
  • Oversee system repairs and monitoring for maximum uptime.
  • Conduct audits and maintain records for compliance.Qualifications
    • Four-year degree or relevant experience.
    • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in multi-building operations.
    • Experience managing MHE, Controls, and PIT operations.
    • Experience in 24/7 operations in fast-paced environments.
    • Strong client relationship and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to manage budgets and timelines.
    • Strategic and implementation skills.
    • Understanding of building systems and commercial leases.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
