Job Description:
A company is looking for a Principal Data Scientist specializing
in Storm Management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of storm catastrophe models for various severe
weather events
Build hazard models through simulations to estimate storm impact
severity and intensity
Design and implement risk and impact models to assess potential
financial losses from storms
Required Qualifications
Deep expertise in developing storm models for hurricanes,
thunderstorms, and winter storms
Proven experience in building hazard models through storm
simulations
Strong background in developing risk and impact models for
storm-related financial losses
Extensive experience with AI/ML, statistical, and time-series
methodologies for catastrophic risk modeling
Master's or PhD in Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, Computer
Science, or a related field
