processes, values, and behaviors.Part of CSG, Civil Space Program
Operations (CSPO) provides customer facing program management and
enterprise systems engineering support to numerous customers
spanning all mission phases, from conceptual design, development,
deployment, and through operations, all program sizes, from small
exploratory projects through the large "flagship" programs for
various agencies, as well as both flight and ground systems.CSPO is
searching for an Enterprise Systems Technologist (MTS Retiree
Casual R4 - Enterprise Systems Engineering) to solve our customers'
hard problems that cross organizational and/or technical
boundaries. The selected candidate(s) will support one or multiple
mission areas that best align with their skills, experience, and
ability to make immediate and highly impactful contributions.
Potential areas of assignment include geostationary and/or low
earth orbit weather satellites, imaging satellites, cislunar
communication and navigation, science data archival, decadal
studies, and providing technical advise to executive level customer
leadership.THIS IS A PART-TIME, CASUAL POSITION WITH LIMITED
HOURS.Work ModelThis is a part time position, offering a hybrid
work model (combines 2-4 regular onsite workdays) with remote
flexibility as business needs allow.What You'll Be Doing
- Serve as the integration leader and/or coordinator of a team of
technical contributors, which may include advanced or senior level
technical/project specialists.
- Consult on the full range of technical activities across the
civil customer lines of business including participating on or
leading quality assurance technical reviews of Aerospace
deliverables
- Provide technical authority and leadership in conducting
studies; provide technical guidance to associate contractors and
government agencies in formulating systems criteria/requirements;
prepare technical proposals to obtain internal/external funding for
research and development efforts; maintain liaison with national
laboratories and technical centers
- Participate in business development initiatives within
Aerospace's civil and commercial portfolio
- Continuously engage with mission stakeholders to ascertain
their highest risks and hardest problems
- Evaluate and support assessments of utility of civil agency and
their international partner systems to satisfy military
missionsWhat You Need to be Successful: MTS Retiree Casual R4 -
Enterprise Systems EngineeringMinimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in engineering,
science, or equivalent
- 12 or more years of progressively responsible professional
experience with credible success in one or more of the following
areas:
- Applicable research and development experience, including
direct experience in multi-disciplinary systems engineering,
program management environments, and/or space systems
investigations spacecraft, Instrument, and/or Ground Systems
Engineering
- Mission Readiness and/or Flight Operations for Spaceborne
Missions
- Remote sensing, UAV, Science and/or operational data
processing, distribution, and archival
- Civil or military application of Spaceborne Data (i.e. weather
forecasts, crop production, etc)
- An exceptionally high level of innovation, creativity, and
initiative
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective
working relationships with government customers
- Willing to travel occasionally to work location or customer
site/domestically approx. 10%
- This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a
security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S.
citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.How You Can

- Advanced degree(s) in engineering, physical science, or
equivalent technical discipline
- Experience with business development, especially in the context
of an FFRDC or UARC
- Proven track record of solving complex, ill-defined
problems
- Outstanding communication skills: listening, writing, and
presenting
- Previous leadership experience at The Aerospace
Corporation
- Project leadership expertise in a space R&D
environment
- Demonstrated experience developing, competing for and executing
internal research and development (IR&D) fundingWe offer a

business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below.
Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide
variety of factors including but not limited to education,
experience, knowledge and skills. (Min - Max)$185,200.00 -
