The Opportunity As Avidity transitions from late stage clinical to
commercial operations, an effective quality control strategy will
be critical to ensuring the safety, efficacy and reproducibility of
our drug products. To facilitate these efforts, we are seeking an
Associate Scientist I to join the Analytics group with experience
in developing and optimizing robust cell-based assays for later
phase clinical programs. The position will also support preclinical
development of second-generation AOC therapeutics. This is a unique
opportunity and will enable the individual to interact with
multiple departments including Chemistry, Biology, and
Bioanalytical Sciences. This individual will work in a high-paced
matrix environment and must be able to communicate and collaborate
between them effectively. What You Will Contribute Excellent
laboratory techniques and the ability to work independently
Significant experience with mammalian cell culture and cell line
development Proficiency with in vitro transfection, dosing, and
downstream assays Experience with running ELISA workflows and
assistance with creation of new ELISA methods Wet-bench efforts
towards analytical assay execution and validation Maintain up to
date ELN Ability to communicate data, findings, and next steps to a
team with a broad background Some prior experience with assay
automation Ability to design and build DNA plasmids and use related
software such as Benchling molecular biology suite and/or SNAP gene
Flow-cytometry experience A positive can-do attitude; someone that
thrives working as a part of a highly productive team What We Seek
BA or BS in biology or related discipline with 4-5 years of work
experience in biotechnology or a university setting laboratory or
an BA/MS degree in biology, bioengineering, cell biology or
equivalent with 6 years of industry experience Experience with
analytical assay development and qualification Proven ability to
thrive and enable success in a cross-functional and collaborative
environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and
the ability to facilitate constructive and expedient
problem-solving. Ability to multi-task, manage conflict, and work
efficiently in a fast-paced environment. R or python-based data
wrangling skills to facilitate data analysis workflows (preferred
but not required) What We Will Provide to You The base salary range
for this role is $99,750 – $110,000. The final compensation will be
commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset,
internal equity and market factors. Avidity offers competitive
